We went to our first rodeo over the weekend. Ella absolutely loved seeing the animals. She wants to be a vet, and I could totally see her doing that. She has loved animals from the get-go, and her memory and ability to distinguish different animals has constantly astounded me. Animals are her passion.
Poor little Faye started fussing about one of her ears, so I took her into the doctor, and sure enough, she has an ear infection. Poor kiddo. I remember when I was little, I used to pretend to have ear infections, so I could have that delicious pink medicine. It didn’t work very well. My dad’s a doctor.
What could be more “lovely” than a kid enjoying herself thoroughly? 😉
It was early morning and my husband had this set up in the living room. Of course the kids had to go check it out and the light was just so dramatic, I had to get out my camera and take some photos. I mean, it’s just the natural thing to do, isn’t it?
Ella is so sweet with her baby sister. I chose this photo because there is just so much softness here; the caring, soft baby skin, that super soft puppy stuffed animal, the coffee blanket…
Ella is a little fashionista. She is very proud of her outfits and has so much confidence in herself, which comes from knowing she is loved and loving herself. I hope she never loses that. (Her shirt says, “love,” as a sidenote. 🙂 )
Ella discovered a pair of scissors that had been stored with other craft supplies out in the shed. She decided she needed a haircut. My husband thought they just had glitter, and then realized what was happening. I am so very sad that she cut her hair. Her beautiful curls are gone. My husband thinks I am overreacting, but I feel like part of her babyhood was just cut away, and it breaks my heart a little.
