We have a project going on here in Texas. The water where we live isn’t super awesome for anyone, plants included, so we’ve decided to dabble in a kind of aquaponics. We are building an herb garden into a fish tank. Well, at least that is the goal. So far we have the fish and we take their water to water our plants. It seems to be working so far… Ella named this photo.
Little Miss Ella decided to try and help slice mushrooms for pizza night using a butterknife. I of course had to photograph that! She likes to help in the kitchen, but not nearly as much as Nelly.
The girls were of course “not tired,” so I told them they could just go sit and have some quiet time. I came in to check on them and found this. How could I resist? I’ll be pulling out this photo when they are teenagers fighting about who was hogging the bathroom.
This moment was shortly followed by sulking and leaning against a fence. Oh four-year-olds.
Nelly has been asking to have her photo taken all of the time of late. It’s so funny to have one kid who refuses to even look at the camera most of the time and one who poses herself and says, “take picture me, mama!”
Faye has been eye-balling food for a little while, but we waited until she hit her 6-month mark to really start introducing foods. She has taken to it more than either of her sisters did.
Need a ride? Nelly has you covered. She loves playing in the car. She will just sit in there and play all day if I let her.
