I love to read. I have to bar myself from reading whenever I’m taking classes, because I will just read instead of study. Good books are an addiction. I actually had my Grandma hide the last Harry Potter book from me because I was taking Physics over the summer while living with her. I begged and pleaded with her to hand it over, but she wouldn’t cave.
*I break out randomly into song. It’s a disease. I can’t help it. You say a trigger word, I break out into song.
When I was little, I used to entertain myself when I was bored shopping by “performing” my super awesome gymnastic abilities (cartwheels) and dancing around.
*I love old movies. Especially musicals. Movie producers and actors and the lot couldn’t rely on special effects as much as they do nowadays.
I always dreamed I would have girls. Not once did I dream that I had a son. Now that I’m a mother, I have three girls. One of my favorite songs is “Far Away” by Ingrid Michaelson, which has a lyric that goes, “I will have three girls all with strawberry curls: little Ella, and Nelly, and Faye.” They don’t have strawberry colored hair, and I have yet to see whether the youngest has curls, but it makes me think of my babies every time. I just alter the lyrics slightly when I sing it to them.
*I love baking. Making beautiful and tasty bread was one of my life goals, which in the last couple of years I will humbly say I feel I have mastered.
I have a cheese addiction I’m trying to get under control, but secretly (okay, not so secretly) don’t really want to change.
*Learning new languages and about other cultures has always been one of my biggest interests. I grew up speaking both German and English, and throughout my education, I have picked up French, Spanish, Farsi, and Latin. Granted, those have become a bit rusty, but I can still read and understand them, mostly.
Also, as you can see, I’m pretty much a rock star and always have been.
